Terdapat dua macam Kromosom, Autosom &amp; Gonosom. Autosom adalah kromosom tubuh, sedangkan Gonosom adalah kromosom yang menentukan jenis kelamin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kariotipe adalah susunan kromosom yang terdiri atas autosom dan gonosom. Berfungsi sebagai faktor keturunan, Gen terdiri dari asam nukleat (DNA dan RNA). DNA adalah penentu jenis asam amino. Ada tiga jenis RNA, (1) rRNA atau RNA ribosom berfungsi untuk mempermudah perekatan antara tRNA dan mRNA, (2) mRNA atau RNA duta berfungsi untuk membawa kode genetik (kodon) dari DNA ke ribosom, (3) dan tRNA berfungsi untuk menerjemahkan kodon dari mRNA menjadi asam amino.
